Combining the health benefits of kefir with the power of tea tree essential oil and thyme essential oil. This lotion contains our own raw goats milk, our award-winning goats milk kefir and natural oils, including Finnish oat oil famed for its soothing colloidal properties.

Thyme & tea tree essential oils
Shann says: I was first inspired to create this lotion when I saw an article reporting that a study from Leeds Metropolitan University showing thyme essential oil was more effective against acne bacteria than benzoyl peroxide, with none of the redness and drying that the chemicals create.Hmm… I thought…what if I combined thyme essential oil with tea tree essential oil, and then mixed the two essential oils with our own kefir, and our own raw goats milk? That should pack a punch…and indeed it did!
The combination of these elements, along with Finnish oat oil, famed for its soothing colloidal properties, creates some kind of magic. The goats milk is anti-inflammatory, calming and cooling redness, and soaking through the barrier of the human skin. The live kefir, made with live kefir grains, helps to re-balance the beneficial bacteria on the surface of the skin.
At the 2015 World Congress of Dermatology all talk was of the skin microbiome – the trillions of bacteria on your skin that keep nasty ones out and good ones in. Your skin microbiome is an ecosystem, and live kefir feeds it! I’ve used this cream personally to help with blemishes on my skin and cracked heels and hands. We use it on the farm to sort out any mysterious rashes or bumps, and it soothes the sting of insect bites.
Use from head to toe
Great as a twice daily skin lotion for recurrent conditions… our strongest formulation! To receive the maximum benefit, we suggest that you team this natural skin care with the Break Out Kefir Cleanser, which you can use exactly like a soap, for face, hands and body. It won’t dry your skin, but gives a soothing herbal boost and gentle natural antibacterial action.
Our lotions are very gentle and pure. However, your microbiome is as unique as your fingerprint, and everyone reacts differently to essential oils. For this reason, we suggest that you patch test your lotion before widespread application. To do this, apply a small amount of lotion inside the wrist, to clear skin. Wait ten minutes to check for any redness or stinging.If there is no reaction, you may go ahead and apply generously, as many times per day as needed. All of our kefir lotions are made in small batches, by hand, on the farm. Lovingly made from food-grade ingredients, kefir lotions are free from any nasty dyes, perfumes, petrochemicals, parabens or phthalates. Our kefir lotions are suitable for people who may be prone to eczema.We begin with a base of our own raw goats milk and our award-winning kefir. To this kefir goodness we add olive oil, rice bran oil and a special oat oil from Finnish oats, specially selected for their skin-nurturing properties.

The goats milk is anti-inflammatory and penetrates the barrier of the human skin, carrying its valuable cargo of vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Our live culture kefir balances and nourishes the bacteria on the surface of the skin, helping to protect and improve the appearance of the skin. Natural oils bathe the skin in moisture.
