Mince Pie Energy Balls

If you’re looking for a healthier way to get your mince-pie fix, these festive energy balls are the perfect alternative. They taste like mince pie meets cookie dough, require zero baking, and come together in minutes with nothing more than a food processor. Even better? They’re naturally sweetened, packed with plants, full of fibre, and ideal for wholesome festive snacking. Enjoy 😏
Makes: 12-16 balls
Time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup soft dates
- 1 cup oats
- 1/4 cup raisins
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/2 small apple, finely grated
- 1/2 TSP cinnamon
- 1/4 TSP ginger
- Pinch clove
- 1 TSP mixed spice (bump this up for mince-pie flavour!)
- 1-2 TBSP sunflower seeds (optional)
- 2-3 TBSP finely chopped almonds
- 1 TBSP Complete Prebiotic
Coating: desiccated coconut (aka coconut “snow”)
Method:
- Add all ingredients to a food processor.
- Pulse until sticky and dough-like.
- If the mixture feels too wet or soft, add extra oats (1 TBSP at a time) until it rolls easily.
- Roll into 12-16 balls.
- Coat in coconut “snow”.
- Chill for 20 minutes to firm up and enjoy!
