Random Acts of Kindness

Here at Chuckling Goat, we are not looking to continually grow our business. Instead, we think the time has come to deepen it. To us, this means continually getting better at what we do – and becoming ever more connected to our community.

We love supporting great causes and are pleased to have launched our Random Acts of Kindness Campaign! ✨

Do you know someone who deserves a Random Act of Kindness? A small but mighty charity that works tirelessly to help others? We’d love to hear about them – email info@chucklinggoat.co.uk with “Random Acts of Kindness” in the subject line.

We’re loving the feel-good factor of donating CG goodies to charities big and small, local and further afield, nominated by YOU and our team members. Take a look below at the donations we’ve made so far…

Picton Ward, Glangwili Hospital

We are thrilled to have donated goodies to the dedicated staff of Picton Ward at our local hospital as part of our ongoing Random Acts of Kindness Campaign – an initiative designed to spread joy and support to those who need it most.✨

A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for your unwavering hard work, compassion, and support. Your dedication makes a world of difference during challenging times.

Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Herefordshire Reuse & Recycling Group

We aim to leave things better than we found them, so we really appreciate the efforts of the Herefordshire Community Reuse & Recycling Group! ♻️💚

Their main focus is to help protect the environment by promoting and making recycling easier for everyone, reducing the number of goods going into landfills, and reusing goods to support those who need them most – it’s a win-win!

Here’s how they’re doing it:

We do this by receiving and collecting donations of household goods, including furniture and clothing. We reuse what we can to support a number of agencies such as social services and refuges, by passing on the usable furniture and household goods free of charge. These are used to rehome people in need and avoids social services spending taxpayer money on buying new. We also support social services, schools and other agencies by giving clothing, toys and bicycles etc for children in the care system. We have also helped homeless charities, sent sleeping bags to the Ukraine and supported numerous other charitable enterprises in Herefordshire.

Stay in the loop and explore more about their work by checking out their website here!

A huge diolch to all involved at Herefordshire Community Resuse & Recycling Group – we hope you all enjoyed the well-deserved treats! ✨

Tuppenny Barn

Another of our customers nominated the wonderful charity “Tuppenny Barn” for our Random Acts of Kindness Campaign ✨

Maggie, CEO, was thrilled when we contacted her to arrange to send a goodie box as a thank you for all their hard work!

Here is what Tuppenny Barn says:

Our vision is to create a better future for our children through inspiring communities to learn about sustainable and organic food.

We cultivate and harvest organic produce, using this to create learning experiences for all ages and to promote the benefits of growing, cooking and eating healthy food.

From hosting school trips and after-school clubs, to workshops and holiday activities, we teach children where fruit and vegetables come from, the benefits of eating nutritional food and give them the skills to grow and prepare their own meals. We have also established a Young Carers project, which further supports local youth through our unique educational environment.”

You can visit their website here to read more about and support their fantastic work.

A huge diolch to all at Tuppenny Barn for working so hard to create a better world for future generations! 🌿💚

James Support Group

One of our customers nominated James Support Group. This admirable charity offers support for all affected by suicide & those who suffer suicidal thoughts.

Here is what they say:

Whether you are a mum, dad, husband, wife or partner, brother or sister, aunt or uncle, granny, grandad, friend or colleague we are here to help you.

We are not councellors, just a family stricken by grief who are prepared to help others in the same situation. We have taken it upon ourselves to attend various Training events & information sessions, and actively network with other groups & organisations for the common good. Since becoming a registered charity in October 2020, we are now able to expand our support service to cover The Scottish Highlands, where we provide monthly support groups, break out personal sessions as required, a 24/7 Helpline & various other support events throughout the year.”

Seven Spokes Home Education

Seven Spokes, a special charity nominated by one of our customers, was started by a group of parent volunteers to provide alternative education for children with diverse needs.

Here is what they say:

The learning at Seven Spokes speaks to the soul of the child. Through imagination and feeling, as well as ‘doing’ they experience a range of topics, in an age-appropriate way, that help them to understand the world and their place in it. We create a positive, encouraging learning environment that enables each child to thrive and grow taking into account their diverse learning needs. This is a holistic form of education, celebrating each child’s unique gifts and their contribution to their community within the framework of the Head, Heart and Hand.”

If you are in the Somerset area and are interested in your child joining this project or would like to read more about their work or donate, please visit their website or Facebook page! 🏡💚

A big thank you to the Seven Spokes team for this great photo!

Hannah’s Holiday Home Appeal continues to honour Hannah’s legacy by providing memory-making holidays for children with cancer and their families.

It was our absolute pleasure to send the team a selection of our skincare products to enjoy and a few goat teddies for the children they support 🐐

Alzheimer's Society Cymru

Many of our team members have friends and family members who deal with Alzheimer’s and Dementia daily, making Alzheimer’s Society Cymru very special to us all at CG.

Here’s what the Alzheimer’s Society say:

We’re the only dementia charity that offers dedicated support to those who need us now, campaigns for change and funds groundbreaking research for a better tomorrow. For over 40 years, Alzheimer’s Society has been a powerful force for change, improving the lives of people living with dementia. We’ve spent time listening to people who deal with the disease every day, and amplifying those voices to campaign governments for change.”

We were pleased to send a selection of skincare products to the team working in the West Wales/Hwyel Dda area, as a thank-you for all the hard work in our local community 😊
