Your friend needs your help!

So – you know that friend?
Don’t see them for a while – then when you do, it’s like you’ve never been apart. Never have to pose. Never have to pretend. Can always tell them the ugly truth, no matter how messy. They came with you in the break-up and they would never, EVER even think for one minute about going to that fabulous party thrown by your ex + new partner. They make you laugh and they know where the bodies are buried and you can get together and marvel that you were ever that young and foolish? But you’re both glad you’re not anymore?
That friend.
And you know how sometimes that person is under the weather, or going through something tough, and you wish you could do something that would really be helpful, other than just saying, “Hope you feel better soon“, and “Let me know if there’s anything I can do“, which has got to be the most futile sentence in the entire world because of course there’s nothing you can do?
Except now there IS.
This is about gifting. Big fan of gifting, me. Love it. Firmly believe that the stuff I give away is the best stuff of all. We do this all the time in our Random Acts of Kindness campaign. (Seriously! Check it out. If you nominate a charity that’s doing wonderful stuff, we will send them CG goodies for free. No catch.)
Anyhow, love that feeling that you get when you do something nice for someone. Dirty secret – I do these things for the most selfish of reasons – because they make ME feel good. True. When lived in San Francisco and felt down because was spending hours in the car every day commuting over the horrid toll bridge (GAK) I would cheer myself up sometimes by paying the toll for the person behind me. Hilarious! The best bit was craning to see in the rear view mirror – their face, as they tried to comprehend that a TOTAL STRANGER HAD PAID THEIR TOLL for no good reason. Would cheer me up for the whole day. That’s where the idea for the Random Acts of Kindness Campaign was actually born.
Point being – goodness, am rambling today! – that doing something nice for someone else is the quickest, surest way to make yourself feel better. Secret selfishness, you see? Because doing something nice for someone else gives you a wash of happy biochemical hormones. But also – not selfish. Because you actually are doing something nice.
So. Here’s what you can do for your friend.
We are throwing open our Refer a Friend Program and whacking it up to 50%. That means that from now until the end of the month, (can’t afford to do it longer than that, soz!) when you refer your friend, THEY get 50% off their first purchase and YOU get 50% of their purchase amount, as a credit toward your next CG purchase.
Everyone wins, see?
And – you’re doing something good. It’s a real thing, not just an illusion. You will make them feel better. The science is in from Cardiff University: just 6 weeks of drinking CG Kefir + Complete Prebiotic can have “profound effects” on emotional health. Because it’s gut-brain month.
Because making someone happier is a good thing.
Because you must understand that if your gut is not healthy, you cannot be happy. It’s literally, chemically impossible.
So – first things first. Give your friend that BOOST they need to start feeling better – and stash some credit in your own wallet, as well –
Because – who deserves it, more than the cheeky pair of you?
Big hugs to you both –
