Vinegar #1 has a classic herbal bouquet taste. It contains star anise, bay leaves, pink peppercorns, black peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, yacon syrup and pomegranate juice.
Vinegar #1 has been tested at Campden BRI laboratories and found to be bactericidal against the following pathogens: E. coli, Pseudomonas, Vibrio, C. difficile and Fusobacterium in vitro. You can view the laboratory documentation here, you will also receive a copy with your purchase.
Our vinegar begins with a base of raw apple cider vinegar and has not been homogenised or heat-treated at any point during the process, so the “mother” is still intact in the vinegar. You may or may not see evidence of this in your bottle. You may also notice a small amount of sediment: this is the natural residue of herbs from the steeping process.
