Time To Repair Your Gut!

So, the party’s over.

You’ve had your treats, your sugar, your booze, and your Christmas cake. You’ve over-indulged, stayed up too late, eaten naughty nibbles, slaughtered your poor gut bugs in their millions…and now it’s time to pay the piper.

But have no fear – because Chuckling Goat is here!

Here’s are three steps to quick gut repair, to get you feeling your best for 2020.

Step One – Drink Kefir

Chuckling Goat kefir is the most diverse probiotic available, with 36 different living strains of beneficial bacteria –  true first aid for your gut microbiome. You need kefir every day, just as you need to keep putting fuel in your car! The job doesn’t stay done – your gut is continually being assaulted by sugar, stress, chemicals and food chain antibiotics. Kefir provides the ongoing care you need to push back and maintain good gut health. You’ll find a Gut Repair smoothie recipe  below, to give you everything you need for a quick gut healing fix.

Step Two – Add Complete Prebiotic

The kefir adds those good bugs into your microbiome – then you have to feed those living organisms! And they’re picky. Your gut bugs require 18 different kinds of exotic fibre for premium health. The fastest, easiest way to get those fibres into your diet is by adding 10 g daily of our all-natural Complete Prebiotic into your daily kefir smoothie, recipe below. Job done!

Step Three – Drink Detox Tea

You need to flush the toxins out of your system, and a natural herbal tea is the best way to do that. Drinking three cups daily of our Get it Going Tea will do the trick naturally and safely. Dandelion root, Burdock root and Yellow dock root, is a classic detox combination, to speed up transit, and flush all the lingering nasties out of your body. Detox for three weeks only – longer detox may deplete the body.

Your Ultimate Gut Repair Smoothie

A kefir smoothie is the quickest, easiest way to get all the good stuff into your system. The Gut Repair smoothie recipe below adds omega 3 rich flaxseed oil and a fish collagen supplement to the kefir and prebiotic, for super-charged gut healing. Beats morning bloat and you’ll be out the door in a flash, feeling great! Helps to quell sugar cravings – you’ll feel satiated and full, able to make better food choices.

  1. While looking up how to heal leaky gut, I came across this article stating fermented foods like kefir and kombucha contained bad bacteria and/or yeast as well as good ones, and they had prebiotics too. From all the researches I’ve done so far I don’t believe it but I wanted to double check with you whether this was true. (I’ve used your products before) It feels like they’re misinforming people to sell their product really…

    1. Hi Isa,

Thank you for getting in touch!

Our kefir specialises in alleviating gut, digestive and bowel issues, including leaky gut!

While our kefir does contain yeast, it contains the ‘good’ kind that help to keep the ‘bad’ kind at bay.

The key is to start off slowly – so we advise starting on 1 TBSP per day to begin with, and then slowly and gradually increasing your dosage as you feel comfortable.

  2. I am taking 2 different types of antibiotic and Lanzoprazole to get rid the helicobactre bug. It is a 7 day course – I will be finished by Tuesday. Is there any point in taking the kefir whilst I am on the antibiotics?

    1. Hi there,

The latest science shows that it is a good idea to continue taking kefir before, during and after your course of antibiotics. The use of probiotics during a course of antibiotics can help reduce side effects and prevent gut infection. You can read the full article here.

PPIs (such as Lanzoprazole) suppress acid production in the stomach and thus increase stomach pH. Kefir is acidic, with a pH of 3.5. Whether they should be taken together in an individual case is a question for your GP. 🙂

      Best wishes,
