Everything you need to know about our Super Sensitive Skin Balm!

Our Super Sensitive Skin Balm does not contain essential oils or Kefir. Made with natural herbs, beeswax, and sunflower oil, it’s our gentlest and most hydrating product.

Designed to nurture delicate, painful, itchy skin, it can be used in the early stages of severe dysbiosis, when our Kefir Lotions may be too strong. It can also be combined with our Kefir Lotions, providing extra moisture and a glowy finish ✨

How is our Super Sensitive Skin Balm made?

We make the balm by hand on the farm, by simmering natural herbs plantain, comfrey, chamomile, yarrow, chickweed, and nettle in sunflower oil until the oil is infused with the beneficial properties of the herbs. The oil is then gently mixed with beeswax to become a moisturising balm. Each herb has its own special properties which are beneficial for the skin:

Sunflower oil is a calming emollient for the skin, aiding in moisture retention and enhancing the skin’s protective barrier with vitamins E, A, C, D, and nourishing carotenoids.8

The sunflower oil absorbs the goodness of the herbs. We then strain the herbs out, and beeswax is added to gently thicken the oil into a balm.

Beeswax is natural, non-toxic, and provides its own benefits to the skin:9

  • Natural Moisturisation: Beeswax forms a protective barrier on the skin, locking in moisture without clogging pores.
  • Soothing Properties: It has anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for soothing irritated or sensitive skin.
  • Skin Protection: Acts as a shield against environmental pollutants and harsh weather conditions, helping to maintain skin health.
  • Rich in Nutrients: It contains vitamin A, which supports cell turnover and rejuvenation, promoting healthier-looking skin.

Like all our products, our Super Sensitive Skin Balm is made by hand, in small batches, right here on the farm. No machines, no automation – just willing human hands! That’s how the love gets in 🫶

How the CG Team use the Super Sensitive Skin Balm…

Elly, Creative Director: My little girl and I use the Balm after showering/bathing, to keep our skin super hydrated! It’s great for slightly dryer areas like elbows, knees and heels.

Saskia, Nutritional Therapist: I use mine at nighttime for ultra hydration and I use it before a swim, on my face, to protect myself from the chlorinated water!

Shann, Director: I use mine as a Gardeners Balm for chapped hands and damaged cuticles after planting in the garden – layer on the hands, particularly around the nails and cuticles before bedtime, and hands are nice and soft in the morning!

Claire, Nutritional Therapist: The Super Sensitive Skin Balm is my go-to for the stubborn calluses I get on my hands from the gym 🏋️‍♀️ It really hydrates and softens my skin!

Iestyn, Head of Dairy: After trying the Super Sensitive Skin Balm, I have no need to return to my old cream, which did not solve the problem! It’s super for a reason. #itworks 🙌

Emily, Office Assistant & Nutritional Therapist: I love to apply the Super Sensitive Skin Balm before bed so it can soak into my skin overnight for maximum hydration! I also use it on my two children, as it is designed to nurture delicate skin.

Ceris, Director of Customer Relations: I use the Super Sensitive Balm after a good, relaxing soak in the bath 😊

Jordan, Head of Barn: The Balm is super hydrating for the dry patches on my skin. It has prevented my hands from cracking after working out in the barn during the winter and lambing/kidding season!

Daisy, Assistant Creative & Office Assistant: I use the balm to remove my makeup – it’s so gentle, pure, and hydrating! I also add a small amount to my Kefir Lotion for that extra hydration and glow ✨

As with any new skincare, we advise patch testing before using liberally.
