Proteobacteria

Proteobacteria are a large, diverse group of bacteria found in various ecosystems, including soil, water, plants and, most importantly, the human gut. The Proteobacteria phylum includes several pathogens that can adversely affect gut health. Proteobacteria can disrupt the delicate balance of the gut microbiota, trigger inflammation, compromise the integrity of the gut barrier, and interfere with normal gut function.
